Om Sitapara is a skilled Software Engineer 2 with over 2.35 years of relevant experience in the field. He has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from IIT and a High School Diploma from Utopia. Om is a highly motivated individual with skills in Networking, Parallel and Concurrent Programming, Distributed Computing, C++, Python, Blockchains, and Android. Currently, Om is working at Microsoft as a Software Engineer in the team of Azure for Operators (A40). He is part of the PAAS team and is responsible for handling networking and database for the NFs and microservices to run on Kubernetes. Om has experience with service-mesh like ISTIO, cilium, and databases like MongoDB and ETCD. He has developed a configuration agent that exposes a REST API to dynamically create CRO for microservices for ISTIO and networking rules. Om is also working on observability components like service-map UI, Prometheus metrics, and Grafana dashboards. Prior to Microsoft, Om worked at Arista Networks as a Software Engineer for the QOS (Quality of Service) team for the SAND platform switches. He worked on 1G/5G/10G/25G/50G/100G/200G/400G interface switches and developed software to program the switches interface for a particular bandwidth. Om worked closely with customers like Vocus and MSFT to develop TM related features like scheduling-shaping and scheduler compensation for high bandwidth data centers. He also worked as a Summer Engineering Intern at Arista, where he developed an auto debugging tool called QosAutoDebugger. Om's tech stack includes Software Engineering, Microservices, Kubernetes, MongoDB, Azure, UI, Python, Android, Elastic Search, Search, Integration, and Django. He is an open-source developer and an IITH CS Alumnus. Om is a team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
