Omar Sagoo is a highly motivated and hardworking Lead Backend Developer at Mastery Coding. With a passion for programming, Omar has always been fascinated by the power of code to shape the world we live in. His journey into programming began with a simple piece of code that made several LEDs light up in a sequence he determined, and from that moment on, he was hooked. Omar believes that we are still at a very young stage in the evolution of code and that with imagination, grit, and hard work, we can create almost anything. He imagines a future where computers are so deeply embedded in our environment and perception that someone who can understand and manipulate them will not only feel like a wizard, but they will be modern-day masters of the arcane. With over 3 years of relevant experience, Omar has worked with several companies, including Shepherde and Affinity Spine LLC, where he served as a Back End Developer and Medical Device Sales Representative, respectively. During his time at Affinity Spine LLC, Omar was able to increase sales by $300k in the first year of his arrival. Omar's education background includes a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science from Make School, where he specialized in Computer Software Engineering. He also holds degrees in Neuroscience from Moorpark College and Irvine Valley College. Omar's technical skills include expertise in Backend development, Golang, and Docker. He is a team player who is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
