Omar Sakr is a multilingual Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering student with a passion for software engineering, IT, and information security management. As a Test Engineer at Rakuten, he is responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through testing and analysis. Omar's diverse cultural background and fluency in Arabic, English, and Japanese enable him to effectively manage and work with teams in a multicultural context. He is an Associate of (ISC)² and is working towards two credentials, one in information systems security and one in cloud security. Omar's technical skills include SDET, test, Javascript, ML, Data Scientist, NodeJS, Python, and ReactJS. He has worked on and managed projects involving these technologies, as well as the Twitter API. Prior to joining Rakuten, Omar worked as a Translator for the Japan Federation of the Deaf, translating official documents as requested. He also served as an IT Manager for a small remote team of developers located in Egypt, where he was responsible for managing the team's monthly budget and salaries, dividing development tasks on team members, managing the development environment and servers, and providing on-demand training sessions for interns. Omar holds a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Tohoku University, where he is currently pursuing his studies. He also holds a degree in Computer Engineering and Software Systems from Ain Shams University. With relevant experience of 0.78 years, Omar is a dedicated and motivated individual who is always looking to expand his skillset and take on new challenges.
