Omid Ahourai is a seasoned senior software engineer with over a decade of experience in the tech industry. He is a two-time startup founder and CTO, having graduated from 500 Startups and Acceleprise. He leads frontend engineering on the Managed Conversions project, enabling merchants to withdraw and convert their crypto into any currency easily. Omid has also updated and maintained 5 public SDK repos and a dozen 3rd party plugins. He enabled merchant whitelabeling for custom-branded checkout, receipts, and emails, launched DAI support for e-commerce checkouts, and enabled "Pay with Coinbase" integration for e-commerce merchants. He also enabled utxo-based currency fee selection for merchant withdrawals. In the past, Omid has worked as a Technical Founder at Storyfork, a platform and marketplace for interactive storytelling. He was also the Chief Technology Officer at Bitesize, where he created a full-stack Saas product for a 1-to-1000's SMS engagement platform. Omid designed UI/UX from mocks to pixel perfect using Sketch 3 and Adobe Illustrator, led 5+ remote contributors and development teams, and conducted aggressive product development with changing requirements for testing various verticals. He also conducted R&D for machine learning and AI, using python scikit and Tensor/Dialog Flow. Omid holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of California, Davis.
