Omkar Kulkarni is a skilled MERN stack developer and graduate student at USC with over 3 years of relevant experience in software engineering and AI. He is currently working as a Software Development Engineer at asort.com, where he is part of the server-side engineering team in Node.js. Omkar has developed and managed REST APIs for user dashboard, order journey, logistics service maintenance, and profile data. He has also contributed to report services to generate excel reports for admin users based on various filters. Omkar has a strong command of writing and optimizing database queries in MySQL and MongoDB. Prior to his current role, Omkar worked as a Software Engineer Intern at asort.com, where he was part of the Frontend Engineering Team. He developed the user dashboard, virtualized store, and checkout flow in React Native for the mobile application. Omkar also automated test scripts using Appium, Mocha, and Chai with Node.js. During this time, he gained experience with Scrum meetings and its processes. Omkar has also worked as a Web Developer at HowdyBuddy, where he was responsible for the development of the website and upgrading it to a Progressive Web App. Omkar holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Manipal University, Jaipur. He also completed his 12th grade from Services Preparatory Institute and Stepping Stones High School, where he studied NDA and Science, respectively.
