Omkar Kumar is an accomplished Software Engineer with 3.19 years of experience in the industry. He is currently working at Cisco as a Software Engineer where he has been involved in a wide range of projects related to cloud solutions, network security, and automation. Omkar holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. During his time at IIT, he gained a strong foundation in the field of electrical engineering. In his current role at Cisco, Omkar has been responsible for implementing various aspects of CI/CD tools such as Docker, VM, and Jenkins in automating various manual steps. He has also gained expertise in network security, including Firewall, URL Blocking, VPN, Malware Detection, and various features to detect and prevent unauthorized access. Omkar has also implemented feature automation using UI (Selenium) and CLI (SSH) using in-house kick infra (Docker, Ansible, Jenkins). Prior to his current role, Omkar worked as a Summer Intern at Cisco where he learned and understood the cloud solution to Cisco license management application. He was responsible for implementing various aspects of CI/CD tools and gained expertise in network security. Omkar's technical skills include Software Engineering, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, Selenium, CI/CD, UI, and Infra.
