Onkar is a Product Engineer at Lyearn with 1.86 years of relevant experience in software development. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science from Arizona State University. Onkar has worked with multiple startups where he primarily focused on React, React Native, Javascript, Typescript, and CSS. He enjoys building scalable web and mobile applications that are performant and interactive. Apart from his professional experience, Onkar is a sports enthusiast and has achieved a National level bronze medal in Handball. He was also the captain of the Football team during his undergraduate studies. Currently, Onkar is working as a Student Worker - Software Developer at ASU Decision Theater Network. He has previously worked at Housing as a Software Engineer and at Lyearn as a Product Engineer. At Lyearn, he developed several internal modules like attendance reporting, assignment submission, and live streaming of classrooms in React. He was also responsible for the development and maintenance of the react-native-tailwind-css library for internal use. At Housing, Onkar developed cross-platform mobile applications in React Native for Housing.com seller and buyer platforms. He successfully moved deep link module business logic to Firebase Cloud Functions, resulting in a significant drop in user routing errors and an increase in user conversion by 15%. Onkar holds a Bachelor of Technology in ICT from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology and completed his High School from J. H. Ambani Saraswati Vidymandir School. He is proficient in software engineering, mobile and web development, React Native, Javascript, Typescript, and research science. Onkar is currently looking for software engineer roles starting December 2022, where he can learn and grow as a software developer while contributing to building amazing software.
