Onkar Shedge is a seasoned Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in delivering applications in an Agile environment using Extreme Programming (XP) practices such as TDD and Pair Programming. He is passionate about writing clean code and refactoring, and believes in prioritizing principles and practices over languages and tools. Currently working at PhonePe, Onkar is interested in distributed systems, data-intensive applications, and micro-services at scale. He is always looking to expand his knowledge and has a keen interest in reading Hacker News and occasionally solving competitive programming problems. Onkar has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology. He has previously worked as an Application Developer at ThoughtWorks and as a GSoC (Summer Internship) at Google Summer of Code. During his time at Google Summer of Code, he worked with Apache Zeppelin Organization and was involved in a project about sharing notebooks via P2P protocols like Bittorrent and IPFS.
