Onkurananda Ganguly is a Software Engineer with over 11 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working as a Manager 2 in the Inno and Dev Division at Caterpillar Inc. and as a Specialist at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Onkurananda has always been passionate about writing code and solving practical problems. During his graduation, he wrote a graphics program using C++ and a notepad program using Visual Basic 6.0, which was bought by someone for INR 100. He has a strong understanding of different computer applications and enjoys teaching them to others. After completing his Masters in Computer Applications from West Bengal University of Technology, Onkurananda joined Hewlett Packard as an intern and worked on various projects, including image processing and PaaS. He has worked on different cloud domains and HPE hardware, such as HPE ProLiant, HPE Synergy, and C7k blade platforms, and has been promoted to a Specialist. Onkurananda's passion for innovation led him to win the 2nd prize for "TouchStone" at a Hackathon out of 30 most competitive projects participated and recognized in HPE's most valued technology forum 'Parasparam'. He has also spearheaded multiple customer escalations and provided exemplary customer service. Currently, Onkurananda is working on a web-service called BookPrep at Hewlett Packard, which allows book publishers/content owners to bring back all their out of print books. He is responsible for deployment, monitoring, harvesting, queuing and also the portal. Onkurananda's technical skills include Java, J2EE, RESTful Web services, Spring, Hibernate, Shell scripting, Python, Maven, Git, Design Patterns, TDD, Kubernetes, Docker, Mongo DB (NoSQL). Onkurananda is a family-oriented person who loves to spend time with his wife and 2-year-old daughter when he is not at work. He is a skilled Software Engineer with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
