Orion Fields is a highly experienced technology architect with over 23 years of relevant experience. Currently, he is working as a Product Group Engineer at Johnson & Johnson, where he is responsible for the engineering roadmap and direction for the North American Visioncare business. Orion is a passionate, focused, and detail-oriented individual who excels at balancing innovation and quality. Orion has extensive experience building and leading diverse, agile teams in highly regulated industries. He is the architect of multiple Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) solutions, making him an expert in this field. He has worked with technologies such as SFDC, SFMC, Drupal, NodeJS, and Apigee, and has experience in coaching, software design and architecture, dev-ops, and hands-on technical work. Before joining Johnson & Johnson, Orion worked as a Senior Consultant at Capgemini, where he collaborated with business, architect technical solutions, formulated technical and functional requirements, and launched projects costing over $1MM. He also managed three global software teams concurrently from the start of the project through successful implementation. Orion has also worked as a Project Application Manager at CRF Health, where he built and managed software in support of global clinical trials. He managed expectations, requirements, development, testing, deployment, and conference training, and provided direct on-site troubleshooting and regular client updates. Orion holds a BA in Computer Science from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Penn State University. His technical skills include Senior Software Engineer, NodeJS, Jenkins, DevOps, and test.
