Osama Farag is an experienced Software Engineer with over 16 years of experience in the field. He is currently working as a Teaching Assistant at Maharishi International University, where he teaches Fundamental Programming Practice (CS390) and Modern Programming Practice (CS401) courses. Prior to this, Osama worked as an IT Manager at Tamweel Financial Services, where he managed IT operations and development teams through all phases of SDLC for financial applications. He also led Fintech initiatives to digitalize the business processes of mortgage, leasing, insurance, and consumer lending. Osama defined project scope, goals, deliverables, and risks, and led the team in designing new systems and integrating components. He streamlined the migration of the old Mortgage Management system to a new system and improved the company's IT infrastructure for systems, security, communication, and data center. Osama has also worked as a Software Development Project Lead at EFG Hermes, where he managed project teams during the full development life cycle using Agile Methodology. He worked together with the Product Owner, development team, business stakeholders, business analysts, and IT management to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver projects effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines. Osama holds a Master of Science in Computer Science (in progress via distance education; expected completion 2022) from Maharishi International University and a B.SC in Computer Science and Engineering from Computer Science and Engineering.
