Oscar Martinez is an experienced professional with over 15 years of experience in the Telecommunication, Cable Industry and Fiber Optic. He is currently working at Viapath Technologies as a Technician 3, Site Administration. Oscar is committed to creating impactful connections and providing industry-leading service. He is always driven by the question of how to do better and increase incarcerated individuals' chances of staying out upon release. Oscar has experience being the lead trainer on safety competencies such as Pole Climbing, Ladder handling, Foreign Voltage Detection, Defensive Driving, New Product Training, Quality Control, and Field Training. He has worked with Uphealth, Inc. as a Partner Field Representative in Los Angeles, California, where he was the first level of onsite technology support for the partner sites. He also worked with Spectrum as a Field Tech IV in Riverside, California, where he resolved cable and internet issues, installed Spectrum's high-performing cable, TV, internet, and voice products throughout the community. Oscar has mentored new hires, identified the three principles of effective mentoring, used effective communication and coaching techniques, and mentored a Field Technician providing guidance to Mentee as they apply skills and practices learning in new hire training to field application. Oscar completed his CompTIA A+ degree in Computer Science from Westech College in 2001. He is looking for an opportunity to work as a field supervisor or field technician. Oscar is a highly motivated individual who is always looking for ways to improve his skills and knowledge.
