Oslo Lin is an iOS Engineer at athenahealth, with a passion for exploring and understanding how different technologies function behind the scenes. With over 3.5 years of relevant experience, Oslo is a huge fan of iOS mobile development and enjoys making both visual and actual impacts to users via mobile applications. Aside from technology, Oslo loves playing sports, with a particular interest in tennis and badminton. As a huge Lakers fan, he also enjoys watching basketball games. Prior to his current role at athenahealth, Oslo worked as an iOS Engineer at Grindr, where he implemented a new side profile drawer design to potentially increase user in-app purchases. He also maintained app releases as a release manager, contributed to private video features, and maintained weekly and monthly app tech debt. Oslo used a variety of languages, software, and tools, including Swift 5, Objective-C, XCode, Git, Arcanist, RxSwift (RxCocoa), Bitrise, Cocoapods, and Python. Oslo has also worked as a Student Researcher at USC Ming Hsieh Institute - Department of Electrical Engineering, where he built a software system to crawl user YouTube history data on the mobile end. He used Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB to develop the backend server and Angular.js to create a front-end that displayed and showed the data in a more visualized format. Oslo holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from National Cheng Kung University. He also completed an exchange program in Computer Science at Temple University. Oslo's tech stack includes iOS, software engineering, mobile development, Objective-C, Javascript, research science, web development, Python, MongoDB, frontend development, and backend development.
