Owais Ahmed is a highly skilled Lead Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the embedded domain. He is currently working at Qualcomm as a Power Engineer, responsible for optimizing power for Qualcomm Mobile/MDM chipsets. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Owais worked at Samsung as a BSP/Peripheral Engineer, where he worked on Linux kernel drivers and board support packages for Android smartphones. He was responsible for initial bring-up and upkeep of various peripheral drivers related to I2C, QUP. At Qualcomm, Owais is responsible for overall chipset power of Snapdragon (Mobile/MDM/MBB) chipsets. He devises strategies, prepares execution plans, interacts with program management, and manages conflicting goals with various stakeholders (performance/testing teams). He worked on development and porting of various device drivers like SVC Led, Vibrator, Hall IC, Gpio Expander, Gpio keys, etc., on Qualcomm's MSM8974, MSM8064, MSM8916, MSM8x26, MSM8960 chipsets. Owais was involved in the analysis and providing fix for system-level issues that arise during the development cycle. At Aricent, he worked on the PAoTDM feature of NSN BTS. Owais has expertise in Senior Software Engineering, Mobile, Android, Software Engineering, and testing. He has relevant experience of 8.29 years.
