Padmashree MR is an accomplished R&D Group Manager with over 21 years of experience in leading teams of engineers to design, develop, integrate, and support the development of Embedded Products. With expertise in the field of Development of Embedded Application and System Integration, Padmashree has extensive experience in Middleware, Device Driver, and Application Layers of Software Stack. Currently working as an R&D Group Manager at Philips, Padmashree is responsible for team/people management, SW management over multi-geographical (Europe, Japan, USA geographies), project management, customer interaction, planning, configuration management, release management, and supplier management. Padmashree has played a major role in solving many customer critical problems and providing support for both executing projects and solving several critical issues at customer sites abroad (US, Japan, Singapore). With extensive experience in requirement analysis, customer interaction, design, and implementations for Embedded Products like DVD Players and also Mobile platforms, Padmashree is an expert in providing on-site customer support during pre-integration, integration, and field tests. Prior to joining Philips, Padmashree has worked as a Founder at hiveintown by eikya and as a Tech Leader at ST, where he was responsible for Planning, Design, and Implementation. Padmashree holds an MS degree in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a BE degree in Computer Science from Bangalore University and Siddaganga Institute of Technology. Padmashree's technical experience includes expertise in Mobile platforms, Mobile Application Processors, Mobile applications, Multimedia Framework, and NXP Smartcard - DesFire, MiFare. His specialties include Software experience in Consumer Electronics - DVD Players & Recorders, Mobile Platform - Mobile Application Processors, Mobile applications, Multimedia Framework, and NXP Smartcard - DesFire, MiFare.
