Paige Bailey is a highly experienced data scientist and product manager with a passion for using machine learning to deliver business value and empower end users. With over 12 years of experience in applied ML, predictive modeling, data science and visualization, public speaking, and programming outreach, Paige is a recognized expert in her field. Currently working as a Group Product Manager at Google, Paige is responsible for driving human-computer collaboration with the Code AI, Pathways, and JAX teams. Prior to this, she served as Director of ML and MLOps at GitHub, where she was the product owner for all things touching open-source Ray + the developer experience for distributed machine learning and distributed Python, at scale. Paige is also an accomplished organizer and mentor, having served in this capacity for Google Summer of Code and Google Brain. She is responsible for the creation and presentation of technical content for products in the TensorFlow ecosystem, and for building and sustaining the TensorFlow community. Paige's educational background includes a Master of Science (M.S.) in Subsurface Geosciences from Rice University, a Master’s Degree in Computer Science (Data Analytics) from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Geophysics, Sociology, Energy & Water Sustainability, also from Rice University. She also holds an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Hill College. Paige's technical skills include expertise in Python, R, SQL, MATLAB, C++, as well as fluency in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform ML stacks. She is proficient in TensorFlow, scikit-learn, PyTorch, JAX, and XGBoost, and has experience with reinforcement learning, hyperparameter tuning, and deep learning.
