Before founding Mocero Health Solutions, Palaniappan held various leadership positions at Mashreq Bank, where he was responsible for managing the bank's digital payments and initiatives. He was also the Assistant Vice President for Cards Acquiring, where he managed e-commerce, mobile POS, and all alternate payment acceptance for Mashreq Bank. Palaniappan was instrumental in creating the first-ever profitability linked incentive structure for acquiring sales teams, pushing for achieving profitable sales rather than by volume or the number of POS machines/MIDs. Palaniappan holds a PGDM in Information Management from the S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, a B.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, and an HSC in Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Comp.Sc from St Michaels Academy.
