Pam Policastri is a highly experienced Senior Technical Recruiter with over 14 years of experience in the industry. Prior to her recruitment career, she spent 11 years as a software engineer and manager of engineers in the test discipline. Her technical background allows her to relate well with the teams she supports and earn their trust, enabling her to advise them on recruiting strategy and practice. Currently, Pam is a Senior Technical Recruiter (Contract) at Tomo, a startup company that simplifies the home buying process. She is responsible for finding top-notch engineering talent to support the company's growth. Pam is passionate about ensuring that her candidates have the best possible experience throughout the recruitment process. Before joining Tomo, Pam took a sabbatical to focus on the things that were lacking for her during the pandemic. She completed a class on a cappella arranging taught by Pentatonix to add to her arrangement skills in preparation for the new a cappella group she launched in September 2022. She also took charge of her health by moving to sustainable healthy eating and made several trips to see family and friends, including visiting her niece in Spain during her semester abroad. Pam's previous experience includes working as a Senior Technical Recruiter at Chewy, where she supported the Pet Health team, the newest and fastest-growing part of the Chewy portfolio. Her focus was on Senior Software Engineers, full stack but leaning either back end (Java) or front end (React). She utilized Greenhouse ATS and enjoyed running with the pack. Pam holds a B.A. degree in Computer Science/Mathematics Dual Major from Colgate University. Her technical skills include test, software engineering, Java, frontend, and backend. With her relevant experience of over 26 years, Pam is a valuable asset to any organization looking to hire top engineering talent.
