Pankaj Sharma is a Senior Data Scientist at Nike with over 10 years of experience in designing and developing machine learning models, data exploration, enrichment, mining, statistical analysis, building data warehouse and visualization of data for Business Intelligence solutions using different machine learning algorithms and Hadoop eco system - HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, Impala, Spark, Python. He believes in the power of telling and finding stories through data. Pankaj is currently leveraging Google Cloud Platform for deploying ML solution at scale using TensorFlow, Cloud ML engine, BigQuery, BigTable, PubSub, DataProc and Google Cloud Storage. He has developed a regression model in TensorFlow to maximize Oil production by predicting choke valve setting based on input from IOT sensors and built analytical pipeline with 2.5 TB data of customer footprints from major retails and Telco on Google Cloud Platform for demographics, behavior analysis and developed different algorithms. He has also worked on the Opioid Care platform on Google Cloud, ingesting data from different sources in cloud storage, data exploration in datalab and built warehouse to provide data analytic solution. Pankaj has previously worked as a Machine Learning Consultant at Deloitte and a Data Scientist at Cognizant. At Deloitte, he built data analytical pipeline with 2.5 TB data of customer footprints from major retails and Telco on Google Cloud Platform for analysis of demographics, behavior and developed different algorithms. At Cognizant, he developed data models, algorithms to implement machine learning solutions as a member of data scientist/data engineer team. He also implemented Partitioning, Dynamic Partitions, Buckets in HIVE, developed GBM classification model for DNA mapping of more than 475 labels with 95% accuracy, and initiated and implemented deep-learning works with LSTM for sentiment analysis. Pankaj holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Information Technology from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and a Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Kurukshetra University. He has expertise in SK-learn, Tensor flow, Keras and H2O libraries and has implemented data analytics projects and dashboard development on Tableau and Qlik Sense.
