Paramvir Singh is a Professional Teaching Fellow (Software Engineering) at The University of Auckland. He has a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar (Punjab), India, and an M.Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Panjab University Chandigarh, India. With over 15 years of experience in both academia and industry, he has published over 50 papers in refereed international journals and conference proceedings. He has supervised 35 MTech Dissertations and 2 PhD Dissertations. Paramvir is a member of the IEEE, ACM SIGCSE, and Life member of ISTE. His research interests include evidence-based software engineering, computer science education, software measurement, dynamic analysis, software quality assessment, and music technology. He likes to spend most of his time on teaching and research pertaining to various domains of computer science and software engineering. He is a fan of collaborative team works, involving peers, students, and external colleagues. Prior to joining The University of Auckland, Paramvir worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar (Punjab), India. He has also served as a Professional Teaching Fellow at The University of Auckland. Paramvir has a strong educational background, having completed his Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev University and his Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Punjab Engineering College. He also holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Ferozepur. In addition to his academic achievements, Paramvir has experience in research scientist, computer vision, and Java. With 12.04 years of relevant experience, he is a highly accomplished professional in the field of computer science and software engineering.
