Paras is a highly skilled software engineer with over 5 years of relevant experience. Currently, he is working as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, where he has contributed significantly to the development of various features and tools. He has enabled the Forced ENI-Detach Feature for both metal and virtualized instances, implemented a feature to automatically find stuck instances on the host, and developed a newer version of an API to expose the host inventory information to other on-host services. He has also designed and developed a tool to add metrics and alarms across the fleet to cut tickets upon certain bugs and failures of the instances. Before joining Amazon, Paras worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Reefer LLC and an Embedded Software Engineer Intern at Vave Health Inc. At Vave Health Inc., he developed a module to load/save/update configuration settings on-the-go for the product (Ultrasound device) and implemented Netlink Socket for Multicasting and Unicasting communication between the daemons for transmitting the notifications to different groups or to a specific process. He also used Google Test for testing the developed modules and maintained the documentation using Doxygen. Paras holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Graphic Era Hill University.
