Paras Gupta is a Lead Data Analyst with over 6 years of experience in both development and management. He is currently working at Innovaccer, where he leads a team of 6 and is responsible for developing a full-fledged optimized python application to quantify the quality of care given to patients for various diseases. He has also ported over 100 codes for various functionalities, automated code migration from legacy Scala to Python, and used Celery, Multi-threading, Redis to read patient data over 100Gb (in Parquet) and process it under 100 workers simultaneously on AWS to run the application. Paras has also created a parser to read large files (>8Gb) of various formats (CSV, TXT, DOC, RTF, HTML) into PDF reports through Python efficiently in under 15 minutes through multiprocessing. He has also converted legacy model code in SAS to Python and is currently working on a Data curation application using NLP (Spacy, Sytrue) and OCR (Google Tesseract) to annotate patient reports and get effective healthcare markers from millions of medical picture reports. Paras has previously worked at Barclays as a Senior Software Developer, where he was responsible for Model Execution Framework for Data Ingestion and Processing, IFRS9 Non Model, Calculation Engine and Financial Reporting Dev Lead and Delivery, and Stress Testing using SAS Model Implementation Platform. He has also worked as a Software Developer Intern at Radical Logix, where he worked on various modules, learning and implementing various technologies on the way. Paras holds a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from JIIT and completed his High School from St. Peter's College, Agra.
