Peigen (Ron) Sun is an experienced software engineering leader with a focus on shipping cloud-native software. With over 12 years of relevant experience, he has a proven record of driving high business impact initiatives. Currently, he is working as a Principal Software Engineer at Splunk, where he leads the technical direction and execution of Splunk's commerce and fulfillment area. This area orchestrates all sorts of onboarding and fulfillment activities across Splunk's cloud portfolios. He has also led various other cloud-native services, including search auto-completion and tenant management. Peigen has worked with a variety of tech stacks, including AWS, Kubernetes, REST API, Go, and Python. Before joining Splunk, he worked as a Software Engineer at Couchbase, where he focused on performance engineering for distributed NoSQL databases with large amounts of data. He also worked as a Software Engineer at Candelis Inc, where he designed and built a cloud-based medical information distribution system. Peigen holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Networks from the University of Southern California. He also has two Bachelor's degrees, one in Electrical Engineering and the other in Business, from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
