Peter Malina is a Google Developer Expert for Cloud, with a passion for DevOps and CI/CD. He is an engineer, speaker, and writer, with a strong focus on automation and customer-value-driven engineering practices. Currently, he serves as the Co-Founder and CTO of FlowUp, where he is responsible for strategic and tactical planning, as well as daily operations on active projects. Peter has made several impactful executions, including strategic technology picks and adoption of Golang, Angular, Containers, Kubernetes, and Cloud technologies, which have all become industry-leading tools. He has also partnered with Google Cloud, becoming official partners in late 2019. He has adopted Google Workspace and Google Cloud into the core stack under which FlowUp operates. Sprint workshops with customers have also been adopted to ensure that they are building what really matters, which has led to a significant increase in the number of happy customers. Peter has held over 100 sales engineering sessions for cloud-native technologies and their potential adoption on all new, growing, and legacy products. He has also trained engineers without previous Cloud experience, who have become Google Cloud Certified Cloud Architects or Cloud Data Engineers in 6 months to support their Cloud operations. He has technologically led tens of smaller and larger projects, architecting cloud solutions and ensuring that they do not shoot themselves in the foot. Before joining FlowUp, Peter worked as a Fullstack Developer at Brno University of Technology, where he started as an IoT gateway engineer in a Smart Home research group. He also finished his Bachelor's thesis within this research group. At Inspireon Group, he worked as a Back-end Developer, where he was responsible for the delivery and maintenance of multiple product features in PHP/NodeJS. Peter holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from Brno University of Technology. He has a diverse tech stack, including Senior Software Engineer, CI/CD, Research Scientist, Backend, Kubernetes, DevOps, Golang, PHP, UI, AngularJS, test, and QA. He has relevant experience of 3.53 years.
