Philip Vollet is an Open-Source Influencer and Head of Developer Experience at Jina. With over 18 years of relevant experience, he is a seasoned professional in the fields of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, Data Science, Bioinformatics, and Graph Technology. His passion lies in evangelizing NLP and promoting open machine learning and open science. Currently, Philip is working as a Senior Data Engineer at KPMG Deutschland, where he is responsible for building the integration layer for internal company data with access standardization for internal and external stakeholders. He is also involved in the implementation of Machine Learning and NLP pipelines. Philip has supervised several academic theses, including the leveraging of deep learning to automate email processing as a dialogue assistant, analysis of reviews in the field of complementary medicine for improvements of given attributes using Machine Learning, and deep learning-based automation of IT support processes through NLP, among others. Philip has worked with several companies in the past, including KPMG Deutschland and Moonwalk GmbH, where he served as a Data Engineer and Developer & Owner, respectively. He has also worked with several clients, including Hotel Adlon Kempinski, Europäisches Branchenkompetenzzentrum für die Gesundheitswirtschaft EWIV, OSZ Banken und Versicherungen, CCVOSSEL GmbH, Nootropics Depot, Coinbase a Bitcoin Platform, Novartis, among others. Philip has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Communication Management from Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin. He also has an Abitur while working in Economic sciences from Berufsoberschule - OSZ Banken und Versicherungen and graduated as Informatikkaufmann (IHK) with dual vocational training while working from OSZ Industrie und Datenverarbeitung.
