Pidong Wang is a highly experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in Computer Science, Natural Language Processing, and Algorithms. Currently, he is working as a Senior ML Engineer at Google, where he is part of the Google Translate team, building and improving Machine Translation systems. Wang has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science with a focus on Natural Language Processing and Machine Translation. He has worked on various projects related to big data analysis, real-time game chat message translation systems, and NLP system architecture design. Prior to joining Google, he worked as a Staff ML & NLP Engineer at Machine Zone Inc., where he worked on big data analysis for game chat messages on Hadoop and Hive using Spark. He was responsible for maintaining and improving real-time game chat message translation systems and NLP system architecture design. In addition to his industry experience, Wang has also worked as an NLP Consultant, providing software consultancy for Natural Language Processing (NLP) at his own company in Singapore. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology and completed his Ph.D. in Computer Science from National University of Singapore.
