Pihu Yadav is an experienced AI and Machine Learning Consultant with a diverse background in software engineering, product management, and data science. Currently serving as the Group Product Manager for AI and Machine Learning at droom, Pihu has developed neural network models to read license plate images and predict the make and model of a car from its image, built vehicle damage detection and part detection models, and created a recommendation algorithm for context-based car listing suggestions. She has also developed a sentiment analysis model for classifying app and seller reviews as positive, negative or abusive. Prior to joining droom, Pihu worked as a Software Developer at Intersystems, where she expanded and debugged patient matching software used by hospitals and healthcare vendors. She also improved support for Spain and Latin America by creating an advanced name matching algorithm to handle multiple or hyphenated names. Additionally, Pihu ensured faster on-boarding of new clients by designing and building a Batch Data Loader to transform patient records in a flat file directly into objects and an Export tool for the reverse process of writing objects into a file. She also added support for domestic and international dialing codes by creating a new phone number matching algorithm and resolved UI bugs related to viewing patient records and building patient linkage data. Pihu also worked as a Student Data Scientist at The Home Depot, where she analyzed product descriptions and features on the online retail website and applied regression with cross-validation using R on a dataset of customer interactions with product enrichments. She predicted the best enrichment combination for maximizing conversion rate of a product being bought. Pihu holds a Master of Engineering in Operations Research and Information Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Technology in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She also completed her AISSCE from Vasant Valley School, where she studied Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Computer Science.
