Piyush Agarwal is a Senior 5G Technologist at Digital Catapult with 12.95 years of relevant experience in the telecommunications industry. He has a strong background in LTE/LTE-A and 5G mobile technology, with expertise in protocol conformance testing and UE conformance. Previously, Piyush worked at Anritsu as a Global Team Lead for their Protocol Conformance team, where he provided technical leadership to a global team working on new 4G and 5G test cases, maintenance tasks, PR support, fixes, and technical help. He also maintained a stock of TTCN and RAN5 specification changes for the conformance test cases and led external PCT 5G UE collaboration partners. Prior to this, Piyush worked as a Principal Application Engineer at Anritsu, where he provided pre-sales support for Anritsu's RTD and PCT product line focusing on 5G NR, LTE-A, and W-CDMA. Piyush holds a Masters of Science degree in LTE/LTE-A from Lancaster University, where he also obtained a B.Eng(HONS) in Electronics and Communication systems. He received his Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology. Piyush is highly knowledgeable in the tech stack of testing and mobile. He is a proactive leader who unblocks team members to move ahead with complex technical tasks, provides in-house and customer training, and generates support documentation, training material, and presentations for internal and external use. His experience in leading global teams, collaborating with cellular chipset vendors, and providing pre-sales support makes him an asset to any organization in the telecommunications industry.
