Piyush Bhoot is an IT professional and FOSS advocate with over 9 years of experience on the Linux platform, Red Hat in-Vehicle OS (Automotive Linux), Developer Toolset, Flatpack, and Container technologies. He is a Red Hat Certified Engineer [RHEL 6,7], with industry experience handling Linux OS R&D, Technical Support, and System Administration roles. Piyush is a Linux enthusiast with strong troubleshooting skills on Linux. He is familiar with distros such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat in-Vehicle OS, Fedora, Ubuntu, and LFS. Currently, Piyush is working as a Senior Technical Support Engineer at Red Hat, where he provides support for Red Hat In-Vehicle Operating System (Automotive Linux). He analyzes performance parameters on different architectures and boards, migrates test cases to CI/CD pipeline (TMT), and performs test cases meant for RHEL on RHIVOS. Piyush collaborates with different Engineering and QE teams to lend a hand wherever needed. In his past roles at Red Hat, Piyush worked as a Technical Support Engineer and Associate Technical Support Engineer, providing quality technical support to customers on Red Hat Enterprise Linux Platform. He analyzed, reproduced, and troubleshooted the issues faced in RHEL users, provided support on the userspace issues related to developer tools (gcc, glibc, binutils), and application crashes (RCA using gdb). Piyush also troubleshooted Display (Xorg), Desktop Environment (GNOME, KDE), and Remote Desktop (VNC, RDP) issues. Piyush holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology Engineering from Priyadarshini College Of Engineering (Nagpur University) and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Priyadarshini College of Engineering & Archi.
