Piyush Jain is a highly experienced Software Engineer with over 12 years of expertise in the cloud, networking, and telecom domains. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at Mercari, Inc. With a deep understanding of Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Software Defined Networks (SDN), Piyush has a strong background in Cloud Infrastructures & Technologies, including OpenStack, Azure, Azure Stack, AWS, KVM, ESXi, Vmware, Docker, and Kubernetes. He is also well-versed in Network Management, Next Generation OSS, VAS platforms, Self-Organizing networks (SON), LTE, IMS, and Push to Talk. Piyush has a proven track record of strong DevOps experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Development, and he is experienced in Agile software development/Scrum methodology. He has worked with various programming languages such as Python, Golang, Powershell, Java, Shell, and Perl. Before joining Mercari, Piyush worked as a Cloud Solution Specialist at Nokia and a Cloud Solution Consultant at NEC Corporation. At NEC, he was responsible for designing and architecting Telco Cloud with a special focus on NFV/SDN and Cloud. He conducted detail discovery, design, demo workshops with customers, and defined and led Proof-Of-Concept (POC) opportunities in NFV using Redhat Openstack, Juniper Contrail, Netcracker MANO, and Infoblox. He also built, managed, operated, and troubleshooted multiple HA OpenStack Cloud for NFV workload and submitted Reference design for Production deployment. Piyush has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.
