Plunkett Doyle is a seasoned Telecommunications Engineer with over 17 years of experience in the field. Currently working with Vodafone, he is responsible for deploying and integrating Broadworks into complex network environments, from initial install through to configuration and testing, enabling telco's and ISP's to offer flexible UC and Voip products to their end-users. Plunkett's skill set includes expertise in Broadworks Deployment, Linux Administration (Red hat / Centos, Debian), IP Configuration / Troubleshooting, IP Network Design / Subnetting, VOIP Configuration, SIP, RTP, Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching, Cisco CCNA Security, FTTX pon design, installation, and testing, Raspberry Pi / Python. Prior to Vodafone, Plunkett worked as a Network Consulting Engineer with Cisco and as a Consulting Engineer with Broadsoft, which is now a part of Cisco. He has extensive experience in installing and troubleshooting fibre technologies, data, broadband, voip, and pstn networks. Plunkett is certified in Fibre splicing, copper jointing, network design (External and Internal), and CAT5/6 installations. Plunkett has completed several courses from The Open University, including T216 - Cisco CCNA, T828 - Cisco Network Security / CISSP, T305 - Digital Communications, T206 - Energy for a Sustainable Future. He also holds a PGCE in Technology & Information Technology from Roehampton Institute, London, and a Beng in Manufacturing Systems Mgt. from the University of Ulster. Plunkett's specialties include Cisco, Microsoft, Linux, and Telecommunications Systems. His current role at Vodafone involves working on various internal voice core projects and on fixed-line CPE device verification for new 10Gb XGSPON rollout. Plunkett's tech stack includes Python, and he has relevant experience of 17.71 years in the field.
