Pooja Gupta is a highly experienced Creative Director and Founder with over 18 years of experience in the fashion industry. She holds a degree in Fashion Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi, and a Masters in Design & Manufacture from De Montfort University, Leicester, UK. Pooja has a proven track record of success as an entrepreneur, having founded her eponymous designer label, ‘Pooja Kapoor: Womenswear’ in 2009. She has also been involved in academics since 2014, and recently topped the All-India Entrance Exam’21 for faculty placements. She joined NIFT, New Delhi as an Assistant Professor, where she plans to integrate practical, real-world work experience into the course of study for the next generation of design students. In addition to her current role as Associate Professor at Pearl Academy, Pooja has previously held positions as Senior Guest Faculty at the National Institute of Design, where she designed capsule collections of women's wear based on the latest trends in the UK market. She has also worked as an Assistant Professor at NIFT, New Delhi, where she ranked #1 in the All-India Entrance Exam. Pooja is a highly skilled designer and has expertise in a range of technologies including AWS, UI, Python, Java, Javascript, ML, MySQL, MongoDB, Spring Boot, Spring, and software engineering. She is passionate about using her skills and experience to drive innovation in the fashion industry and inspire the next generation of designers.
