Poonam Lamba is a dynamic technology leader with over 19 years of experience in the financial services, telecom, and IT consulting industry. As a Hybrid Cloud Engineer at Google Cloud, she is responsible for designing, architecting, transforming, innovating, and building modern solutions for the company. Poonam is a disciplined, innovative, and out-of-the-box thinker who strives to understand the big picture in technology while focusing on minute details. She excels at ensuring the right technology investment is made, the right partners are leveraged, and pragmatically turning investment into reality. Her strengths include ideation, learner, maximizer, positivity, and strategic thinking. Prior to joining Google, Poonam was an Executive Director of Software Engineering at JP Morgan, where she was responsible for designing, building, scaling, and operating private cloud platforms, reliability engineering, and developer experience. She also extended open-source software that ensured a financial services private cloud was at parity with public cloud offerings and built a culture of reliability engineering through people transformation, cloud adoption, and application frameworks. Poonam has a Bachelor of Computer Engineering from the Army Institute of Technology in Pune and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Savitribai Phule Pune University. She also completed Technical Leadership Training at JP Morgan Expert Engineer. Her tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, SRE, DevOps, and Azure. As a transformation lead, solution architect, and engineer, Poonam has a demonstrated history of working on drafting strategy and plans, then following through with leadership, delivery, and execution. Her experience in both financial services and IT consulting industries has given her a unique perspective on how to address operational efficiencies, capacity, scale, cost, and performance.
