Poorva Agrawal is a graduate student in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University with a strong background in controls. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the airlab at Carnegie Mellon University, Poorva is developing a local planner to enable drones to rapidly and autonomously explore unknown environments for the DARPA Subterranean Challenge. She has also worked as a Robotics Intern at CMU Roborace, where she developed a trajectory planner for a Formula Electric style autonomous race car. In addition, Poorva has served as a Teaching Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, where she formulated problem sets and corrected test papers for approximately 200 students in the course Principles of Electronic Materials. Poorva's education history includes a Master of Science in Robotic Systems Development from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Engineering Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Her tech stack includes experience as a Research Scientist and in testing.
