In her previous role as a Senior Software Engineer at Splunk, Poorva built control planes to deploy Splunk binaries for Splunk Cloud Platform and implemented 0-to-1 auto-scaling as part of on-demand cloud infrastructure resources. She also built infrastructure to manage and scale on-demand cloud deployments for Splunk and architected and implemented the first version of Cloud platform’s API reference and tutorial site. Poorva designed and built a new Dashboard editor and viewer for Splunk real-time searches, and introduced modern tools and technologies and components to allow sharing of frontend infrastructure. She also designed and developed a solution that monitors complex distributed systems like VMware and NetApp using Splunk’s Core platform. Prior to Splunk, Poorva worked as a Software Engineer II at Boston Scientific, where she developed a keyword-language interpreter testing tool for implantable medical devices. She implemented features to control external systems which communicate with the device and implemented decision making and debugging capabilities for the tool which reduced the testing-cycle time by 28% and also increased the testing variations. Poorva holds a Master's degree in Science and Engineering in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Instrumentation from Rajiv Gandhi Prodyogiki Vishwavidyalaya.
