Poorva Rane is a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer with a Master's degree in Intelligent Information Systems (MIIS) from the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision. Currently, she is working at Apple as a Machine Learning Engineer and is a part of the Siri team. Prior to her current role, Poorva worked as a Data Scientist Intern at Nvidia, where she worked in the Gaming Products division and performed sentiment analysis on the GeForce Forums as a part of her project. She implemented an LSTM for unsupervised language modeling and used the learned representations for sentiment analysis. She has also worked as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where she worked on Automatic Text Region Identification using Neural Networks under Prof. Taylor Berg-Kirkpatrick. Poorva has a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from NIT Surathkal.
