Prabhakaran Unikkittarath is a Senior Director and Chief Engineer for Android-based Automotive Digital Cockpit Platform at HARMAN International. With over 20 years of relevant experience, he is an expert in Android Automotive Infotainment Digital Cockpit platform development, Connected Car, Safety Critical Systems, Engineering Management, QNX, RT Linux, GHS, Vehicle networks, Embedded Systems, C++, OOAD, UML, and Design patterns. Currently, Prabhakaran is responsible for developing QNX-based in-vehicle infotainment systems for sports tourer bikes for Japanese OEMs. Prior to joining HARMAN, he worked as a Principal Consultant for Telematics and Infotainment practice at Infosys, where he provided thought leadership to the company in the areas of Automotive Infotainment and Cloud-based Telematics service delivery platform. He also worked as a Software Techno Manager for platform software development for mid-segment infotainment systems and vehicle infotainment system development for a reputed OEM in North America based on the platform at Atos. Prabhakaran holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Kerala and has completed an Executive Education Senior Leadership Program from IIM. His education has equipped him with skills in Strategy, Business Models, Digital Transformation, Long term Thinking, and Leadership for Change.
