Prabhat Jha is a highly skilled and experienced entrepreneur and engineering leader with over 21 years of relevant experience. He is currently the Head of Engineering - Developer Experience at DataStax, where he is responsible for building amazing developer and operator experiences for Cassandra in multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments through multimodal APIs, Kubernetes operators, SDKs, and CLIs. He is also the brain behind k8ssandra.io, which makes it super easy for developers to get started with C* in Kubernetes, and stargate.io, which helps developers build apps using modern APIs such as GraphQL, Documents, gRPC, and REST besides native CQL. Prior to his current role, Prabhat helped launch Astra Streaming, the industry's first multi-cloud serverless streaming-as-a-service built on Apache Pulsar, as the Head of Engineering - Streaming at DataStax. He was also the CTO at Wootric, where he built an AI-powered customer experience (CX) management platform, and the co-founder of InstaOps, a real-time mobile APM platform that was acquired by Apigee/Google. At Apigee, he created several proprietary and open-source API management solutions that developers love. Prabhat is a pragmatic open-source software professional and proponent with a likeness to evangelism. He specializes in PaaS, SaaS, Machine Learning, NLP, Multi-Cloud strategy including hybrid cloud, Distributed Computing, and Developer Experience. He has a wealth of experience as a Senior Software Engineer, product manager, and software engineer. His tech stack includes Kubernetes, NLP, AI, ML, Cassandra, Mobile, and GCP. Outside of work, Prabhat is the founder of Eejot, a non-profit that helps towards computer literacy in Nepal. He primarily works with students from remote areas in Nepal.
