Prabhjot Singh is a Senior Software Engineer Technical Lead at Pearson, with over 5 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is an innovative and results-driven software engineer with expertise in data structures and algorithms, micro-services architecture, agile methodologies, full-stack, and API development. Prabhjot has deployed multiple applications, start to finish, with a get-it-done, on-time attitude. He loves to brainstorm, design and code. Prabhjot has worked for some of the biggest names in the industry, including PayPal and Sony. At PayPal, he worked on the client migration for the Pricing team, making changes in the client-side code to consume new APIs. He also aided in writing application-level code to interact with APIs and debugging live-site issues. Prabhjot leveraged various Spring Boot modules for the backend development and TDD (test driven methodology) to write unit test cases and integration test cases. He also aided in the certification pipeline to automate the entire release process of the Pricing team for production deployments. At Sony, Prabhjot worked in a Scrum team to develop the user module for Sony Pictures’ Business to Business application. He worked on the design and development of Microservices (RESTful APIs) for the Sony Pictures’ Marketing Application and addressed user issues and problems related to the same. Prabhjot created complex queries (Oracle Db) including joins and subqueries to deliver business requirements and reports. Prabhjot holds a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science from Thapar University.
