Prabhu Roshan is a passionate software developer with a keen eye for detail and engineering elegance. With over 6 years of relevant experience, he is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at GlobalLogic, where he takes ownership of the development and deployment of the ETL data engineering process, ensuring relevant data is being gathered to provide the best information for engineering platforms like HPC, Storage, EDA, Emulation, etc. He is also responsible for continuous communication with customers/stakeholders for changing priorities and improvements needed for the development of the service in the area of data engineering. Prabhu is experienced in Spark, Java/Scala, Kafka, databases, and equivalent data engineering tools. He is passionate about pursuing the problems of extracting knowledge from data and driven to understand the core ‘stories’ that data can tell. He helps drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements by providing the means to make data-driven decisions. Prabhu, along with his team, works with data to add business value by applying a mixture of Data Engineering, Data Visualization, and Data Science disciplines to a variety of complex engineering problems. They extract information from large data sets to enable data-driven decisions and improved efficiency and effectiveness of the use of engineering platforms and infrastructure. Prabhu's tasks typically include ETL code development, building and deploying ETL workflows for continuous data delivery to the dashboards, ensuring it is robust and scalable, following software engineering standards, enhancing data collection and data processing methodologies, and collaborating with other team members who use various statistical and Machine Learning models to build predictive analytical products for their Engineering and Platform Operation teams. Prabhu has a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from GGSIPU and a High School Grad from Kendriya Vidyalaya. He has worked with companies like HCL and Iris Software Inc. in the past, where he was involved in the development of the code as per the product requirements, re-engineering of the MS SQL Server system to Big Data ecosystem, and developed Hive scripts to extract meaningful data from Blob Storage and performed analytics over it. Prabhu's tech stack includes Data Engineering, Software Engineer, ETL, test, ML, SQL, Spark, Data Scientist, Kafka, infra, Big Data, Scala, Java, and Apache Hive.
