Pradeep Kumar is an accomplished Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Mandi, with over 15 years of relevant experience in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer. He has a Ph.D. in the same field from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, and a Master's degree in Design of Process Machines from the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology - Allahabad. Pradeep's expertise lies in Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer, Thermal Radiation, and CFD&HT. He has worked on a wide range of projects, including the thermodynamic analysis of different arrangements of Combined and Humidified Air Turbine Cycle by writing C-code during his M. Tech thesis. He has also written and analyzed different numerical techniques to solve Navier-Stokes and Energy equation during CFD coursework at IIT-K. One of Pradeep's notable achievements is writing a general purpose Radiative Transfer Equation (RTE) solver by Finite Volume Method (FVM) and coupling it with the general purpose CFD solver ANUPRAVAHA. He is also willing to work on state-of-the-art methods to solve non-gray radiation and combustion problems. Pradeep's professional experience includes working as a Senior Technology Specialist - Software Development at ANSYS Fluent Ind Pvt Ltd, and as a Technology Specialist - Software Development at ANSYS Fluent Inc. During his tenure at ANSYS Fluent Inc, he supported the unlimited number of bands with the DO model in FLUENT, developed the Non-Equilibrium Thermal Model (NETM) in the porous medium, and developed the GUI for the multilayer shell conduction using scheme language. Overall, Pradeep Kumar is a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Professor with a strong background in Computational Fluid Dynamics and Heat Transfer.
