Pradeep Sawlani is an experienced self-motivated software developer and lead with over 17 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as an Engineering Manager at Google Cloud Platform, where he is responsible for the identity and authentication solution for Anthos, a modern application management platform that provides a consistent development and operations experience for multi-cloud and on-premises environments. Pradeep has a diverse technical background, including cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes, Istio, and Envoy, as well as backend infrastructure and developer tools. He also has extensive experience with Android frameworks and applications, embedded Linux in diverse areas such as camera, telephony, USB, memory management, power management, and bootloaders. In addition to his technical expertise, Pradeep has trained a pool of 50 students on a variety of courses, including Linux system programming, writing solid code, operating system concepts, Linux kernel and device driver development. Pradeep's specialties include Kubernetes, Istio, identity and authentication, DevOps, Android, Linux board support package for various boards with ARM and ARC-based SoCs, Linux device drivers, bootloaders, ARM TrustZone, Android, V4L2 camera framework, and Android middleware. Prior to his current role at Google, Pradeep worked as a Software Engineer at Google Cloud Platform, where he was the technical lead for all container/Kubernetes with Container-Optimized OS, and at Amazon, where he worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer on Android internals, optimizing low-level Android components for Kindle Fire devices and deploying generic kernel features to improve performance.
