Pradeepto Bhattacharya is a highly experienced and skilled engineering manager currently working at Red Hat as a Senior Engineering Manager. With 19.38 years of relevant experience, he has a proven track record of building and leading successful, self-sufficient, and productive teams that deliver high-quality results. As an open-source engineer, he has contributed significantly to the open-source community and has built and run distributed teams and communities from scratch. He is exceptional at hiring and retaining the best engineering talent within given constraints and has a passion for driving teams towards a shared vision. He founded the KDE India Community and served as one of the Board of Directors on KDE e.V. Over the years, Pradeepto has built desktop, mobile, and web applications, developer tools, and release engineering automation tools, and complex CI/CD pipelines. He has worked with several programming languages, including C/C++, Qt, KDE, Ruby, Python, Chef, and more. He has also led efforts to build developer tools on top of Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift. Currently, Pradeepto is building, maintaining, and scaling high-performance distributed engineering teams spread across four continents that build and integrate developer tools like TektonCD, Jenkins, Helm, s2i, Service Binding Operator, and more on Red Hat OpenShift. He collaborates on a day-to-day basis with cross-functional associates/teams, including Documentation, Product Management, QE, and Customer Support. Pradeepto is passionate about building and nurturing teams and talent. He takes pride in the teams he has built and worked with who have created solutions to complex problems. He is also extremely passionate about mentoring and coaching. He has spoken at conferences and universities in India and many countries around the world. Pradeepto has worked at Red Hat in various roles, including Engineering Manager, OpenShift Developer Tools, and Associate Engineering Manager, OpenShift Developer Tools. He has successfully managed multiple distributed teams that work on various products (or components) on top of Red Hat OpenShift. He has contributed to multiple org-wide wellness initiatives and has helped the organization with D&I initiatives. He has successfully hired the best engineers from industry and community to work on various Red Hat OpenShift Developer projects.
