Pradip Acharya is a technically sound engineering leader with around 15 years of experience in designing and developing scalable, low latency, fault tolerant, secure distributed systems. He has expertise in cloud-native microservice design and development with experience in AWS cloud. Currently, he is working as an Engineering Manager at Ola, managing multiple teams of engineers on large-scale distributed systems using Java, Microservices, Kafka, Redis, NoSQL, and AWS cloud. Pradip's current work profile is divided into 60% of technical work and 40% of management work, where he manages multiple teams of engineers. He performs a role that involves a mix of tasks on both architecture, design, development, and managerial action items like process, standards, hiring, mentoring, and performance management. His current role requires him to drive end-to-end design, development, and delivery for three products, which are Ola Foods, Ola Convenience Delivery, and Ola Connect. Pradip has expertise in hiring, building a strong tech team, mentoring engineers, planning, and executing DevOps processes, applying engineering practice, and managing scrum teams for software product development. He has a good experience of managing multiple engineering teams with a competitive healthy work culture and productive output. He has worked on tech strategy, tech stack selection, stakeholder management, and client relation. Pradip has taken ownership of the delivery of a product and its subsystem, working with other highly skilled engineers on complex projects using best practices and engineering standards. He has good experience and knowledge of problem-solving, data structure, algorithm, multi-threading, and collection. He has worked as an Engineering Manager at Sigmoid and Molex, where he built and mentored a strong product team and successfully delivered products to clients with scalable architecture and quality code. He has also worked on designing and developing a high-quality Industry 4.0 IIOT product. Pradip holds a Master’s Degree from the National Institute of Technology Durgapur and a BSc in Physics from Calcutta University. He completed his high school studies from Rampurhat High School.
