Pradip Karmakar is a highly talented researcher, web developer, and computational biologist with a passion for eco-activism. He is currently working as an Associate Content Developer at BYJU's, where he is responsible for designing and developing engaging educational content for students. Pradip's expertise in biology, content design, and visual communication make him an invaluable member of the BYJU's team. Pradip's career has been marked by a commitment to environmental and socio-economic causes. He is currently working on a project to raise awareness about 100 environmental and socio-economic issues in India, and has already completed 5 of them. Through his work, Pradip hopes to inspire others to take action and make a positive impact on the world. Prior to joining BYJU's, Pradip worked as a Summer Research Intern at the National Institute of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases (NITRD). In this role, he gained valuable experience working in a Biosafety level 3 (BSL3) laboratory, where he cultured over 100 patient samples to diagnose the presence of Mycobacterium in suspected Tuberculosis patient samples. Pradip also analyzed the data of GeneXpert, Staining, Liquid Culture growth, Microscopic Observation, Line Probe Assay (LPA), Drug Sensitivity tests (DST), and biochemical tests data to confirm proper diagnosis and treatments of patients under the guidance of Prof. Surendra K. Sharma, ex HOD, dept of internal medicine, AIIMS, New Delhi. Pradip holds a Master's degree in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a B.Sc in Microbiology hons from Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira. He is skilled in a range of technologies, including web development, research, computer vision, and design. As a Department Placement Coordinator at IIT Bombay, Pradip executed the placement resume verification process of 1600+ students within a team of 55 DPCs across 21 departments and organized 52+ Intra and inter-department levels placement preparatory activities such as mock personal interviews, online and offline tests, and group discussions. Pradip is an ambitious and talented professional with 2.35 years of relevant experience. He is committed to making a positive difference in the world through his work, and his passion for eco-activism and social causes is an inspiration to all who know him.
