Prafful Mehrotra is a highly skilled Software Engineer at VMware with over 3 years of relevant experience. He has a strong grasp and experience in C++, Java, AWS, and cloud technologies. Prafful enhanced the processing service built by the team by implementing concurrent solutions allowing the service to process larger input orders efficiently. He also reduced processing times by a factor of 1/10th using AWS SimpleWorkflows (SWF), Java Spring, and Coral frameworks. Prafful developed a user interface for the service using JSP, DataTables, and Javascript. He also implemented a data pipeline to send data processed by the service to a data warehouse and querying tool. Prafful worked with various AWS services such as SNS, SQS, Kinesis Streams, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Simple Workflows (SWF). Prafful has also worked as a Summer Intern at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. He developed 3D simulations of school level physics experiments in the JavaScript 3D library - Three.js. The objective was to make interactive online education freely available for school students everywhere. Prafful completed his Master of Science - MS in Computer Science from the University of Florida in 2020. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Engineering from the LNM Institute of Information Technology in 2018. Prafful also attended Somerville School, Noida.
