Prafful Varshney is a third-year undergraduate student at IIT Roorkee pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering. He is an upcoming SDE intern at Jio Platforms Ltd. for the summer of 2023. Prafful has a keen interest in competitive programming, problem-solving, and deep learning. He has completed an internship at YBI Foundation and developed multiple projects in deep learning, machine learning, and web development. Currently, Prafful works as an ML-Business Analytics Intern at YBI Foundation, where he built a hybrid book recommender system based on collaborative filtering and popularity using cosine similarity metrics. He also used pickle and Bootstrap to create a dynamic website displaying the recommendations and hosted it on GitHub. Prafful is actively seeking internship and part-time opportunities in the software, fintech, and ML domains. He has relevant experience of 1.19 years and possesses skills in ML, software engineering, deep learning, and web development. In addition to his work experience, Prafful has been a student at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, where he has been studying since January 2020. He is expected to graduate in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering.
