Prafulla Kumar is a highly experienced Software Engineer with over 12 years of experience in the Telecom industry, working with leading Telecom Equipment manufacturers and networking solution providers. He holds a B.Tech (CSE) degree from the Indian School of Mines - Dhanbad. Currently working as a Software Engineer at Cisco, he has previously worked for clients like AT&T, Telus, NSN, Bell Labs, and Sprint. Prafulla's expertise lies in the areas of Element Management System (EMS) and Network Management System (NMS) using Core Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, ActiveMQ, JMS, Hibernate, and SNMP networking protocol. He has exposure to all phases of Software Development life cycle with hands-on experience working on Agile software development. His responsibilities include analyzing new requirements, designing new pieces of software/modules, and implementation. As a Senior Engineer, Prafulla has developed a strong skill set in Core Java, Swings, SNMP, EMS/NMS (Telecom Domain), multithreading, design pattern, ORM, Hibernate, Microservices, REST, and more. He has also worked as a System Architect and Module Lead at Cellos Software Limited, where he was responsible for leading teams for various products, involved in requirement gathering and customer presentations, breakdown of high-level requirements, and designing systems to meet them.
