Pragya Sharma is a highly motivated PhD candidate at Virginia Tech with a passion for wireless networks and network security. She is currently working with the Networks and Software Security Lab of ECE department, where she is conducting cutting-edge research in her field of interest. Pragya has a strong academic background, having completed her B.tech. + M.tech. in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. Prior to pursuing her PhD, Pragya gained valuable industry experience as a design engineer at Cadence Design Systems for two years. During her time at Cadence, she developed software libraries to benchmark Tensilica DSP processors, which helped her develop a deep understanding of software design and development. Pragya is also an accomplished web developer, having worked as a Web Nominee at Hostel Affairs IIT Bombay and as a Web Developer Intern at Quetzal Verify. She is an expert in various technologies and tools, which include research scientist. Pragya is a highly motivated individual who is always eager to learn and grow. She is a quick learner and adapts well to new environments. Her strong technical skills, coupled with her ability to work well in a team, make her a valuable asset to any organization.
