Prajna Kandarpa is a dynamic engineering leader with over 6 years of relevant experience in building and leading teams that turn ideas dependent on machine learning into software products that can scale to millions of users. He has worked in the USA, Canada, and India and has been an early/founding employee at multiple startups, including Ubiq Inc., Acerta Systems Analytics, and Muse Wearables. Currently, Prajna is the Director of Engineering at CognitiveScale in India, where he develops and maintains their web application and creates responsive data visualizations. Prior to this, he worked as a Senior Fullstack Engineer at CognitiveScale, where he developed diagnostic software for PCBs and added features to web applications that control manufacturing processes. He also worked as the Vice President of Software at Muse Wearables, where he managed a team of 5 mobile and full-stack engineers and handled GDPR compliance setup and procedures. Prajna is proficient in front-end development, back-end development, container infrastructure (Kubernetes), DevOps (AWS, Azure, GCP), technical hiring, and project management. He is skilled in using various technologies, including Python, MySQL, Django, NodeJS, Redis, Docker, and Postgres, among others. Prajna holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He is a research scientist and QA professional with experience in ML, NLP, and web testing.
